Travis Cruz Storm Obituary, Death Cause – Travis Cruz, who was dearly loved by all of us, passed away peacefully this morning at 1:13 AM, surrounded by his family and friends. It is with a sad heart that we share this news with you.
Travis was the kind of person who could make you laugh with his infectious enthusiasm and boundless love for his family and his wife, Heather Cruz, who were just beginning their lives together.
I first met Travis many years ago while we were both chasing storms through the backroads of Kansas; we hit it up right away and soon after began working together. Rockets, and in particular SpaceX, were a special fascination for him. This was only one of his many interests. It was a privilege to have crossed paths with you all those years ago and to have you as my best friend, Travis, and we know that you are finally free from all of the suffering and sleepless nights that you have endured.
The countless talks that many of us had with you will remain ingrained in all of our memories forever, including mine. My conversations with friends and family over the phone and over text regarding severe weather, the StormCruzzer truck, space rockets, and everyday life will always be something I appreciate and think about.
