Teresa Richardson Obituary, Death Cause – Mrs. Teresa Howard Garrett Richardson, age 76, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, departed this earth on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, and had the best birthday party ever as she went into the arms of Jesus fully cured. She was able to experience eternal life for the first time.
Mrs. Richardson was born in Lebanon, Tennessee, to the late Horace Garrett and the late Lucille Eakes Garrett. Her parents have since passed away. She completed the requirements for her master’s degree at MTSU after completing her undergraduate degree at David Lipscomb College. Because she had such a deep love for her pupils, she continued working at Middle Tennessee Christian School after she had retired from her position as a teacher of first grade there.
Mrs. Richardson was a dedicated member of the Church of Christ and served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a member of the North Boulevard congregation for about 20 years. Her most cherished responsibilities in life were those of a mother and a Grammy to her cherished “grands.” Reading, keeping a journal, and baking were some of her favorite pastimes.
She also enjoyed working with her hands to make things, such as quilting, cross-stitching, and making diaper bags for a large number of new mothers. Mrs. Richardson is survived by her children Jon Micah Richardson and his wife Jennifer of Gallatin, Tennessee, Dana Romans and her husband Erek of Murfreesboro, Amy Richardson of Murfreesboro, and Lori Burleson and her husband Hal of Panama City.
Florida; grandchildren Ryan, Jared, Christine, Lara, Jack, Luke, Caleb, and Jacob; six great-grandchildren; sisters Waldean Richardson and her husband Steve and Tawanda Travis and her husband She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as by her sister Katy Whiteaker, her husband Bobby Richardson, and her parents’ parents before them.
