Shawn Bruntlett Obituary, Death Cause – I’m at a loss for words to adequately express how devastated I am by the news of the passing of such a brilliant soul. I don’t even know where to start. Shawn Bruntlett, who has been working at Cafe Patachou for the past quarter of a century, has never failed to provide us with outstanding service while preserving a pleasant and unruffled demeanor.
When I first encountered him, he was working at the CP back when it was still situated in the cramped location at the intersection of 126th Street and Gray Road. When you looked for it, the CP was in a totally different part of the building. I made it a point to begin each morning with a cup of coffee purchased from this particular establishment for a number of years. I never missed a day of doing so.
Shawn was there at all times, always ready to greet the morning with a smile on his face and his coffee mug in hand. Shawn was always there at all times. My trips to the new location at 131st and Hazeldell have increased in frequency ever since they moved there, but he has always been kind to me and has made me feel as though I am among friends whenever we have come into contact with one another…
It has been brought to my attention that a good number of you hail from families that are quite comparable to one another. Everyone will express their sorrow over his passing in their own particular way. During this difficult time, prayers are being repeated over and over again for both his biological family and his CP family. 🙏 rest in peace dear friend
