Robert Mckenna Obituary, Cause Of Death – Robert “Bob” L. McKenna, 88 years old, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at the River Valley Nursing Center in Butler, Kentucky. He was a resident of Cold Spring, Kentucky. He lived in Cold Spring for the majority of his life. Bob was born on May 14th, 1933, and he was born in Newport, Kentucky. Bob’s birthday is May 14th.
During the conflict in Korea, he was a soldier in the United States Army. Before taking early retirement, he spent the previous thirty years working as a salesperson for the Hellman Lumber Company. Robert was a devoted member of Saint Mary Church, and he regularly attended services there.
He enjoyed putting together puzzles, working in the yard, and watching basketball played at the University of Kentucky. Joseph and Mary (Wieck) McKenna, Bob McKenna’s parents, as well as his brother Richard McKenna, all passed away prior to Bob McKenna’s passing. His wife, Genevieve McKenna (née Phillips), and their daughter, Kimberly McKenna Myers, both passed away before he did.
He was the last surviving member of their family. He is survived by a son, Mark McKenna; one granddaughter, Megan (Bob) Schweitzer and a great-grandson, William Schweitzer; a brother, Joseph A. (Connie) McKenna Jr.; close friends and caregivers, Karen and Dan Orth; a sister-in-law.
Patricia McKenna; and a number of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by close friends and caregivers, Karen and Dan Orth. He passed away The 15th of April, 2019 was the day he died away.
