Ricky Allen Obituary, Death Cause – Taylorsville, Utah native Ricky Dale Allen, 36, went to be with the Lord on March 4, 2023, passing away peacefully at home. Being a devout believer in Christ, Ricky Dale Allen was one of the good guys. He was born to Richard Allen Whitmire and Annette Evans Whitmire on February 3, 1987, in Catawba County. In spite of everything that had happened to him, Ricky’s faith in God remained unwavering, and he continued to treat God with love and respect. He cherished his role as a husband.
He loved his family very much and was the model of a devoted father. While he wasn’t basking in the glory of his many accomplishments, he could be found outside, surrounded by nature. He spent his entire existence assisting others. He was trustworthy, kind, unassuming, loyal, brave, and powerful. His heart was as pure as gold. No matter what was going on in his life, he always managed to wear the most beautiful and gracious smile. His smile was contagious, and it was impossible to keep from grinning whenever he entered a room.
Ricky was a dedicated fire department engineer for the Conover, North Carolina, department. He joined the fire department as a junior fireman in 2004, at the tender age of 17. He has been a dedicated public servant for the past 19 years, and for the past two, he has volunteered with the Taylorsville Fire Department. Ricky devoted a great deal of time and effort in order to receive several credentials. North Carolina Firefighter I and II, EMT, and Technical Rescue certifications, as well as water, building collapse, trench, and hazardous materials training, were among their many credentials. All of Ricky’s fire department friends and coworkers held him in the highest regard.
Robert Evans’s paternal grandparents, Robert Evans Sr. and Carolyn Grindstaff, and maternal uncle, Robert Evans Jr., all predeceased him. He went in the same direction as them. His wife of 11 years, Nicole Miner Allen, of the home; their daughters, Sophia Grace Allen, 8, and Elizabeth Claire Allen, 20 months; their father, Richard Allen, of Wilmington; their mother and stepfather, Annette and Chuck Whitmire, of Newton; their sisters, Billie Barringer and husband, Justin, of Conover, and Kelsey Whitmire of Newton; their grandmother, Shirley Evans; nephews Ashton, Adam, Brayden, and Xavier; and a host
At 3 o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, March 9, the Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Newton will host a memorial service in Ricky’s honor. Reverend Michael Strickland will officiate the service. There will be a burial at the Conover City Cemetery following the service. In the wake of Justin Barringer, Cody Sipe, Chuck Whitmire, David Miner, Shawn Miner, Clint Trivette, Ashton Smith, and Adam McCall, the casket will be borne by the following mourners. On March 8 from 6 to 8 p.m., the family will be present at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church to meet and greet visitors.
