The age of the victim in years was 14. When Qamat Shah, a resident of Setauket, was attempting to cross the busy thoroughfare at Wireless Road around 6:30 in the evening, he was reportedly struck and killed by a 2015 Dodge Charger that was traveling in the opposite direction. Nesconset Highway is another name for this thoroughfare.
After being found unresponsive at the Stony Brook University Hospital, Shah was taken there for treatment; however, it was confirmed that he had already departed away. Both the male driver and the female passenger in his vehicle were reportedly uninjured by the incident, as reported by the authorities.
