Patterson High School Shooting – On Monday afternoon, a student from Patterson High School was fatally shot and killed at a park located in Southeast Baltimore. At approximately 2:00 p.m., police were called to Joseph E. Lee Park, which is located in the 5900 block of Pratt Street.
When they arrived, they discovered a young person who had been shot in the head. The student was transported to the hospital, but it was too late for him to be saved. According to the police, many witnesses told investigators that they heard gunshots, and then a number of people ran away in a variety of locations.
“What we need to know is who was with the student, why they were in the park at this hour prior to the release of school, and anything they saw, heard, or know about this situation in this playground so that we can hold these individuals accountable for yet another student, yet another young person, and yet another student at a Baltimore City school,” said Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison.
