Mick McGarry Obituary, Cause Of Death – After hearing the devastating news that Mick McGarry had passed away, every one of us is left with a broken heart. In addition to being a good friend, Mick made a contribution to the music scene in Hull that was absolutely exceptional, outstanding, and out of the usual.
On a number of times, we have shared the stage with him and The Hillbilly Troupe, which has been an incredible opportunity for us. I even got the chance to play a cover of Ohio by CSNY with them in 2013 when I went to see them. That was a performance in which we participated. He exuded an aura that was simultaneously sophisticated and magnetically attractive at all times.
We looked at each other and exchanged glances. We remember him telling us about how, back in the day, he would smoke so many cigarettes during a show that the smoke would turn the tips of his fingers black. This is something that we are quite familiar with.
This is something that stays in our minds really clearly. What he had to say is something that is still very much on our minds at this point. We were able to recall what it was that he had mentioned earlier in the conversation.
