The names of the two people who were killed in what is being investigated as a murder-suicide that took place in Colchester on Wednesday night have been made public by the police department. The incident is being treated as a murder-suicide and took place.
On Thursday afternoon, the Colchester police department said that the deceased had been named as Melissa Bergeron, 37, and her husband Michael Bergeron, also 37. Both of the Bergerons were married. Both victims have Bergeron ancestry in their family tree. On Wednesday evening, at around 9:43 o’clock, police officers responded to the Wellesley Condo Complex located in the 200 block of Holy Cross Road after receiving a report of a fight that had taken place at that location.
According to the investigators, the preliminary findings of the inquiry indicate that Michael Bergeron shot his wife Melissa Bergeron before turning the gun on himself. This conclusion was reached based on the findings of the investigation. Reports from the authorities indicate that the two individuals have become married.
According to the complaints that were filed by the police, it seems that there was a young child in the apartment at the time that the incident took place. A member of the family is currently taking care of the child while the parents are away. According to the police, they were able to get away and seek help from their neighbors, who then called the authorities and informed them of what had happened.
