Martin “Joe” Lysakowski Obituary, Death Cause – Martin Joseph (Joe) Lysakowski passed away in Reading Hospital on February 21, 2023 due to circumstances unrelated to his illness. He was born in Reading, Pennsylvania on October 18th, 1962.
His mother, Linda Lysakowski, lives in Boulder City, Nevada, and he leaves behind four siblings: Patricia Lysakowski Downing, who is married to Thomas Downing and lives in Napa, California; Victoria Lysakowski McIlwaine, who lives in Rio Vista, California; John Lysakowski, who lives in Raytown, Missouri; and Matthew Lysakowski, who is married to Kathryn Spang and lives in Alexandria, Virginia.
He is survived by his mother. Both his father, Martin A. Lysakowski, and his brother, Stephen Michael Lysakowski, passed away before he did. He was the uncle of nine nieces and nephews, fourteen great nieces and nephews, and one great-great nephew. He also had one great-great niece.
When he was admitted to the hospital, Joseph was a resident of a group home in Reading, Pennsylvania that was managed by Threshold Rehabilitation Services. Threshold Rehabilitation Services, Prospectus Berco, and Redco were among the companies he has worked for in the past.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 793 in Reading, Pennsylvania, in addition to being a Boy Scout and a Special Olympian. He attended the Catholic Mass at the eponymous St. Anthony of Padua Church in Reading, Pennsylvania at one time.
A Christian burial service will be held at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 10:00 am. The address of the church is 2600 St. Albans Road, Reading, Pennsylvania 19609. A visitation followed by eulogies will begin at 9:30 in the morning.
St. Mary Cemetery will be the location of the interment. In addition, a Memorial Mass will take place in the St. Andrew Catholic Community in Boulder City, Nevada on March 23, 2023 at 10:30 in the morning.
