Marguerite Myers Obituary, Cause Of Death – We are sorry to inform our AFS family that Marguerite Myers did not make a full recovery from the heart attack that she suffered on March 8. Her passing comes as a great loss to all of us. We are passing on this information to you with a heavy feeling in our hearts.
When Marguerite and we volunteered together, it was always a productive and satisfying experience for both of us. People from all over the world have had their lives profoundly altered as a direct result of the love and care that she has provided for them, in addition to the guidance that she has provided for them. Her husband, Peter, is a published author, and his works include the following: “Marguerite passed away on March 11 in a calm and comfortable manner, having endured no pain in her final days. She was engulfed in love from all of her family members as well as her friends and other loved ones. Already, the absence of her in our lives is becoming painfully obvious to us.”
In addition to all of the other volunteer work that Marguerite has done for our organization, including serving as an Orientation Presenter, Host Family Interviewer, Liaison, and Support Coordinator, she has also taken on the role of Host Mom for more than 14 different students.
