Louis Shuste Obituary, Death Cause – Felix and Clara (Wistuba) Schuster welcomed their son into the world on March 31, 1929 on a farm located south of Callaway. Louis received his education in the public schools of Callaway and graduated from Callaway High School in 1947 together with his class. On August 14, 1952, Louis enrolled in the United States Army 2nd Infantry. He served during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged from the military on June 8, 1954, after having served his nation honorably throughout the Korean War.
After receiving his release from the military, Louis went back to the farm his family owned and worked there until his parents passed away. The marriage of Louis Eastwood and Joan (Pearson) Eastwood took place on May 28, 1989, and resulted in the birth of six children who reached adulthood: Gary, Alan, Patty, Dean, and Connie and Bonnie. Louis welcomed the extended family and loved them just as much as he loved his own. Prior to relocating to the city, Louis and Joan made their home on the family farm.
Louis’s interests in agriculture and ranching were his lifelong passions. He had a lot of fun flying his own plane, as well as being a pilot and owning one. Restoring furniture, automobiles, and tractors was another hobby that Louis and Joan enjoyed doing together. He never stopped gaining new knowledge and working hard in his shop; he was never idle. He cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren, especially when they delighted him with their antics. He was a devoted member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Callaway, as well as a member of the Flatlander Automobile Club and the American Legion Bryson-Booker Post #59.
He is survived by his wife, Joan, of Callaway; his children, Gary (Trudy) Eastwood of Callaway, Allan (Jan) Eastwood of Callaway, Patty (Bob) Olson of North Platte, Dean (Kathy) Eastwood of North Platte, Connie (Brad) Nansel of Arnold and Bonnie Eastwood of Arnold; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren; brother, Norman Schuster (Betty) of Phillips; sister, Carolyn In addition to his parents, Louis was predeceased by his sister Barbara Magruder and his brother Francis. His parents passed away first. The funeral service, known as a Mass of Christian Burial, will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Callaway on November 27, 2021, at 10:30 in the morning. The funeral home, Reynolds-Love Funeral Home, will be live-streaming the Mass on their Facebook page.
