Kover David Obituary, Death – James David “Jim” Kover, age 47, of Stillwater Twp., New Jersey, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Newton Medical Center as a result of cardiac issues. Jim was raised in New Jersey’s Landing and Roxbury Townships after being born in Paterson. Before coming to Stillwater Twp., he spent a brief stint residing in Bangor, Pennsylvania.
He was a good singer and participated in the school’s classic band as well as the choir throughout his time at Roxbury High School, from which he graduated in 1994. James was a die-hard supporter of the New York Rangers. Jim cherished the time he got to spend with his loved ones.
He took great pride in preparing meals for his family and cherished mealtime together as a unit. He looked forward to the outings and trips they took as a family every year. James was a genuine music enthusiast who enjoyed listening to all types of music, but he was most passionate about rock ‘n’ roll and country.
He was also a hard worker and devoted retail store manager. Ms. Marilyn Dunnigan, Mr. Kover’s maternal grandmother, passed away before he was born. James is survived by his wife, Lindsay Gail Zoccola-Kover, as well as his children Makenzie, Aran, and Ashton, and his son, Ethan. Several members of his family, including his parents Geraldine (née McTeigue) and Charles Risner, as well as his cherished pet dog “Odin,” are still alive.
