Kevin Mcmahon Obituary, Cause Of Death – On Thursday, October 28, 2021, Kevin Mcmahon, 67 years old, a retired state trooper who lived in Marshfield and was formerly from Dorchester, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home. He had moved to Marshfield from Dorchester. He was born in Boston, and his parents, John A. McMahon and Enid R. (Oliver) McMahon, both passed away before he was born.
He was their son. A brother of Paula J. Freedman of Mansfield and Cathy McMahon of Wrentham, Cherylee Cotter is the beloved husband of McMahon. The brother-in-law and sister-in-law of Stanley Freedman, as well as Thom Dooley and Diane Basler, and the spouse of his sister.
A cherished great-uncle to Kaleigh Rose Allen and Jack Charles Douglass, in addition to being a proud uncle to Jonathan J. Freedman, John J. Basler, Debra L. Douglass, and Kerrianne Dooley. Great-uncle to Debra L. Douglass as well.
After graduating from Boston Technical High School, Kevin pursued further education at the University of Massachusetts Boston and received his degree there. His Master of Arts in Criminal Justice degree came from Anna Maria College, which is the name of the school where he studied. His first job in the public sector was as an emergency medical technician for the Boston Ambulance Squad.
He began his career in public service there. After that, he was given a job as a police officer with the University of Massachusetts, and after he graduated from the Boston Police Department Academy, he was given a job with the Massachusetts State Police in November of 1980. After that, he was given a job as a police officer with the University of Massachusetts.
