Ronald and Ethel (née McMahon), Ken’s parents, owned and operated a large grocery shop in the town of Clayton-le-Woods, which is located in the county of Lancashire. They also lived immediately next door to the store in the house that they built themselves. They enrolled both Ken and his older brother David, who would go on to have a successful career in business, in the primary school that was located in the neighborhood where they lived.
At the age of 67, Kenneth Harold Schrimsher, a resident of Logansport, Indiana, passed away on March 7, 2023. As a consequence of his demise, he has left behind family members and friends who are lamenting the loss of their loved one. Ken was successful in completing his thesis on Henry of Grosmont, who served as a lieutenant for Edward III during his operations in France, with the assistance of Le Patourel. Henry of Grosmont was the subject of Ken’s research. Henry of Grosmont was a member of Edward III’s army and held the rank of lieutenant. Once a period of time had passed, Ken would ultimately publish three important books, with Grosmont being the subject of one of those volumes.
After that, they decided it would be best for Ken to finish his schooling at a boarding school in the county of Derbyshire, so they enrolled him there. His education in history came from John Le Patourel, a historian who, at the time, had already established a center that was dedicated to the study of the medieval period.
