Joseph Bennett Obituary, Death Cause – Joseph “Harold” Bennett, who resided in Buford, Georgia, passed away on March 6, 2023. He is survived by his daughter, Connie Marie Waldrop, who lives in Pendergrass, Georgia; his special son, Michael Picaart, who lives in Buford, Georgia; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Jerry Cannon, who also live in Buford, Georgia. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was 85 years old at the time of his passing. His children, Keith Bennett and Kyle Bennett, as well as his sisters Joyce Harrison, Dorothy Parker, Marie Puckett, Bonnie Wheeler, and Mardell Bennett all passed away before he did. His wife, Peggy Foster Bennett, his parents, Jonce and Clara Bell Bennett, his children, and his siblings all passed away before him. A Funeral Service is scheduled to take place in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford, Georgia, on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at one o’clock in the afternoon.
This location is in the state of Georgia. Pastors Joey Grizzle and Danny Smith will preside over the service as the officiating clergy. The burial will take place in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, Georgia, following the conclusion of the funeral services. On the evening of Wednesday, March 8, 2023, the Flanigan Funeral Home will be open for visitation beginning at five in the evening and continuing all the way up to eight in the evening.
Mr. Bennett made his entrance into the world on May 31st, 1937, in the city of Buford, Georgia. It was in the year 1957 when he graduated from Sugar Hill High School with his diploma. It had been 28 and a half years since he started working for the Hormel Meat Packing Company when he finally decided to retire. Mr. Bennett was a regular attendee at the Buford Church of God and was very involved in the Senior Adult Sunday School Class that the church offered.
