Jonathan Echeverria Obituary, Death Cause – Regarding the Children of Echevarria Jonathan J. Echevarria, age 13, was the son of Juan Echevarria and Yesenia Lozada, both of Bethlehem. Jonathan J. Echevarria was the eldest of the two children. On March 9, 2008, he and his brother and sisters perished in a fire that broke out in their family home on Mechanic Street in Bethlehem. He passed away that same day. Moreover, Jozlyn Vargas and Ralph Galarza might claim Jonathan as their stepchild.
Jonathan, who attended Colonial Academy in Wind Gap and was in the eighth grade, was a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. Because of the way he made other people laugh, he will be sorely missed. 11-year-old Anthony I. Echevarria, who lives in Bethlehem and is the son of Juan Echevarria and Jozlyn Vargas. The younger of the two boys who perished in the fire that broke out at the family home in the wee hours of the morning on March 9, 2008; he was killed. Anthony attended Spring Garden Elementary School and was in the fifth grade there. Anthony enjoyed riding motorcycles and driving cars.
His friendly demeanor and radiant grin are two aspects of him that will be sorely missed. Bethlehem residents Juan Echevarria and Jozlyn Vargas have a daughter named Nyasia M. Echevarria who was 7 years old. She was the oldest of the two daughters whose lives were taken in the fire that broke out at the house where the family lived. When Nyasia was in the second grade at Spring Garden Elementary School, she attended that school. Nyasia cherished her relationships with others and delighted in admiring herself in the mirror. Her outgoing nature will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her.
Bethlehem residents Juan Echevarria and Jozlyn Vargas have a daughter named Jai Lynn Echevarria who was 5 years old. She was the younger of the two sisters who tragically perished in the fire that broke out in the family house. Kindergarten was Jai Lynn’s first year attending Spring Garden Elementary School, where she was a student. Jai Lynn enjoyed mischief.
She had a gorgeous grin and a loud, opinionated voice, both of which will be much missed. In addition to their biological parents and stepparents, the Echevarria children are survived by their biological siblings Juan Echevarria, Jr., Giovanni Echevarria, Eric Hidalgo, and Manuel Garcia; their sister, Jasmine Lozada; Yesenia’s parents, Anita Cruz and Jose Manuel Coln; Juan’s mother, Ana Echevarria; Jozlyn’s parents, Nereida Quinones and Carlos Vargas; and a large number of aunt Services:
El Shaddai Bethlehem Ministries, located at 529 E. Broad Street in Bethlehem, will be open for visitation on Saturday, March 15, 2008, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The El Shaddai Church will be the location of their burial ceremonies, which will start at noon. After the funeral service, which will take place in Nisky Hill Cemetery in Bethlehem, there will be a luncheon held in the church from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.
