John Mcguire Obituary, Cause Of Death – John C. McGuire, age 52, of Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania, lost his brave and long struggle with leukemia on Thursday, March 2, 2023. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing. He was the son of John W. McGuire and Nancy (McDowell) McGuire, both of whom passed away before his birth on June 27, 1970 in Scranton.
In November, John McGuire and his wife Maura (Zajac) McGuire celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary. Maura (Zajac) McGuire is an attorney. John received his diploma from Scranton Preparatory High School in 1988. He then attended the University of Scranton and received his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice in 1991.
Before discovering his true career at Access Services, where he eventually became the assistant director for foster care services, John worked for several companies, including Nationwide Insurance, the William Cary Agency, and KidsPeace National Hospital.
He was extremely loyal to his family, and he took great pleasure in spending time with his wife and sons, who he considered to be the most important things in his life. John had a lot of fun going on adventures with the family’s former dog, Mac, and their new puppy, Jasper.
Mac has since passed away. He had a very strong relationship with his extended family as well as his friends, who not only provided him with unwavering support throughout his illness but also adopted his credo of “Belief!” John was a regular volunteer for CYO programs and events that took place at the former parish school when he was a parishioner at Sacred Heart of Bethlehem Catholic Church, which he attended regularly.
