Joanne Balaskas Obituary, Cause Of Death – After a valiant fight against cancer, Joanne lost her battle with the disease and died away in a serene setting on March 7, 2023 at the Juravinski Hospital. She had been a client there for a number of years at that point. Joanne was a loving daughter of Sokratis and Dimitra, who passed away, and a much-loved sister to George. She also passed away.
He cherished her in his heart (2021). The year 2021 marks Joanne’s passing away from this world. Joanne will be sorely missed by the many people from throughout Canada and Greece who were a part of her extended family and the many others who counted themselves among her friends.
On the evening of Friday, March 10, 2023, guests are invited to pay their respects at the George Darte Funeral Home, which is located in St. Catharines at 585 Carlton Street. The visiting hours are from five in the evening until nine o’clock in the night. The funeral home welcomes visitors from the general public.
On Saturday, March 11th, 2023, at 11:00 am, both the Thrice Holy Hymn Service—Trisagio and the Funeral Service will be place at St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church. These observances are scheduled to take place on the same day.
