Janice Hall Matteo Obituary, Death Cause – Our dearly loved Janice Hall-Matteo has passed away, and it is with a heavy heart that we share this news with you. – Our loss has left us in a condition of complete and utter devastation, just as it has you all. Janice was a lovely wife to Jim, mother to Juliet and Nick, daughter to Tom and Carol, sister to Deborah, stepmother to Maria and Melissa, and a close friend to all of us. She was also a stepmother to Maria and Melissa. Nick and Maria were her stepchildren.
Her immediate as well as her extended family cherished and adored her. She shone like a beacon in each of our lives, and we are so appreciative of the outpouring of love and the expressions of support that we have received. The unexpected passing of Janice meant that there was no time to make any preparations in advance. We are asking for donations to pay the expenditures involved with her service, medical expenses, and other expenses so that Jim and their children are able to grieve without the added stress of an additional financial burden.
People will always remember Janice as an engaged member of the community who generously contributed both her time and money to organizations in which she strongly believed. You could always find her lending a hand by serving as a volunteer at organizations such as the Columbia County Animal Rescue, the Construction Industry, and the Columbia River Mental Health Services (just to name a few). She enjoyed going on adventures, attending concerts, and spending time with her loved ones and friends whenever she got the opportunity.
