Hugh Curley Obituary, Cause Of Death – The Gloucester Firefighters Local 762 is saddened to report the passing of FF Hugh Curley, and they wish they didn’t have to make this announcement (Retired). Brother Curley worked for the City of Gloucester for the length of his 34-year career, making him our most senior retiree at the time of his departure from the organization. In 1950, FF Curley was appointed to a position in the Department, and he served in that capacity until 1984, when he eventually retired.
Brother Curley continued to be an active member of both Local 762 and the Gloucester Firefighters Relief Association when he retired. He placed a significant amount of importance on each of these groups. During this trying time, Nancy and the rest of the Curley family are always on our minds and in our prayers. Hugo will not be overlooked in history.
