Harvey Hoover Obituary, Death Cause – Harvey G. Hoover, age 75, of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, died away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his devoted family. He was able to enter his eternal reward. He was born in Ephrata, Pennsylvania on October 3, 1947. His parents, Ivan Z. Hoover and Susie R. (Groff), passed away before he was born. He spent his entire life working in agriculture. Harvey worked for Nolt’s Power Equipment in Shippensburg when he retired from farming. He was a farmer.
He participated in the Old Order Mennonite Groffdale Conference in Shippensburg as a member of the congregation. Dorothy M. David of Shippensburg; 27 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters, John G. Hoover and his wife, Anna of Ephrata, Noah G. Hoover of Ephrata and Ammon G. Hoover of Ephrata, Edna G. Hoover of Ephrata, Mabel Burkholder and her husband, John of Leola, PA and sister-in-law, Lucy Hoover of Ephrata; and sister-in-law, Lucy In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his granddaughter Lynelle Nolt, two great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Elam G. Hoover and Ivan G. Hoover. His parents passed away while he was a young child.
The Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory in Shippensburg has been entrusted with the responsibility of providing professional services. On Sunday, March 5, 2023, during the hours of 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM, as well as 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM, there will be a Public Viewing conducted at his Home. Locust Lane Mennonite Church, located at 35 Hammond Road in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania 17257, will be the location of the Funeral Ceremony on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 9:30 AM. Bishop Aaron I. Martin will preside over the ceremony. The church cemetery will be used for the interment.
