In 2014, Hannah volunteered her time at ITIM, where she worked on modifying the procedures that were followed in the rabbinate in order to determine personal status for the purpose of marriage.
This was done so that she may marry someone. This was done so that Hannah would be able to marry the one whose social standing was the most suitable for her. There was complete anarchy in the land at the time because the Israeli rabbinate did not have any rules in place governing who might witness that someone was unmarried during that period.
Hannah has been conducting an ongoing phone campaign with the objective of drawing attention to the disparities that exist between the many marriage registrars located in various regions of Israel. As soon as we found out that Hannah had died away, we started looking for her letters and eventually were able to find them all.
