Gary Mason Obituary, Death Cause – During that time, he has served as a guide and mentor to a sizeable number of pupils, and he has maintained a close relationship with the alumni and current Black students at the institution. Gary is survived by his children Dale Mason, Lisa (Gordon) Hutton, Becky (Patrick) Aubertine, and Katie (Jeff) Thibault, as well as by his siblings Neil Mason, Carol Henchy, Ennis (Binky) Mason, and Joy (Joseph) Fitzgerald. He also leaves behind a number of grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
After hearing earlier this morning that Bishop O’Dowd Dean Mr. Gary Mason had passed away, I find myself in a state that can only be defined as complete and absolute hopelessness at this point. Since he has been a member of the O’Dowd community for such a large amount of time, everyone calls him “Mase,” which is meant to be a term of endearment.
I am thankful that we were able to spend some time together on Black Family Day the year before, and that I was able to introduce him to my three sons at that time. Both of these experiences have left me feeling glad. I hope that you, Mase, may find contentment in your position of power. Nobody will ever forget you; that much is certain.
Gary is also survived by his siblings Neil Mason, Carol Henchy, and Ennis (Binky Gary’s parents, Dale Mason and Ennis Mason, passed away before their son’s birth. Gary is also survived by a substantial number of other relatives, all of whom will miss him greatly. Before Gary moved away, all of his close family members had already left, including his parents, his brother Lynn Mason, and his brother-in-law Harold Henchy.
