Garry Forsell Obituary, Cause Of Death – We deeply regret to inform you that another longtime member of SDPHC has passed away. It is with great sadness that we make this announcement. Garry Forsell was a wonderful person who had a wonderful sense of humor, and many people may remember him.
He will be sorely missed by everyone. Garry Palmer Forsell. (9/3/1951 – 2/26/2023). 71 years old to be exact. Garry passed away in a calm and comfortable manner on February 26, 2023, in Santa Rosa, California, with his friends by his side. Garry, also known as Doc or “the Commissioner, had a network of support that was exceptionally powerful, loving, and caring.
As a thoughtful and giving “Dude,” he will live on in their memories and remain indelible in their hearts forever. After earning his degree in pharmacy from the University of the Pacific in 1972, Garry worked in the field for the next four decades, including a significant portion of that time at the Veterans Affairs Clinic in La Jolla, California.
Garry was a huge music fan, particularly of island music as well as music from the 1970s and 1980s. Because of his interest in sports, he became the “go to” person for all questions pertaining to sports trivia, and he had a particular fondness for the Padres, Chargers, 49ers, and Warriors.
In addition to this, Garry enjoyed traveling and counted among his top destinations Las Vegas, Hawaii, Key West, and New Orleans. Dr. Forsell was known to be an extremely private person.
