There were a total of 12 people living in the Sokol household, including Elaine Sokol, who was one of the 11 children in her family. Her place of birth was in the urban area of Cleveland, which is located in the state of Ohio. When she was seven years old, her family uprooted their life and relocated to California.
She was left behind. This event served as a milestone in the beginning of her life in the State of California. Elaine entered a convent immediately after receiving her diploma from high school and continued to live there for the next seven years of her life. This marked the beginning of her vocation as a religious woman who serves in a convent.
Following her departure from the religious group she had been a part of, Elaine got married, had a son whom she named Thor Mortz, and then moved to Roseburg, Oregon. Moritz is one of Thor’s middle names. In the middle of the 1970s, Elaine and her son Thor uprooted their lives and settled in Davis, California. Elaine started her new job as a probation officer for Yolo County not long after the move itself took place.
Over the twenty years that she worked for Yolo County, she had a variety of positions, including those of a social worker and a veterans service officer, amongst others. Her tenure with the county spanned a total of twenty years. During her time working for Yolo County, Elaine McCain became coworkers with Floyd McCain, who would later become her husband. The two went on to marry and start a family together.
Elaine and Floyd tied the knot in 1977, and their marriage has remained strong throughout the whole of their partnership over the course of the previous 45 years. Elaine was blessed with a tremendous deal of talent and had a strong passion for the arts, particularly music.
She taught herself how to play the guitar, and during the holiday season, she led a group of friends in singing Christmas carols at local elderly homes. She also played at the nursing homes herself. Also, she was a guitarist.
