Edward Chute Obituary, Death – L. Edward “Eddie” Chute, 77 years old, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at High Crest Nursing Home. He was a resident of Springhill. He was born in Berwick, Nova Scotia, and was named after his late parents, George Chute and Myrtle (Bennett) Chute. When Eddie would go out fishing or hunting, he would have a great day in the great outdoors. Around the time of year when maple syrup was being harvested, he was a common sight at the Lynn Mountain camp, where he performed his tricks while holding a bottle of Keith’s.
He was very kind to his friends and family, offering them some of his maple goods without asking for anything in return. Grandchildren Kyle, Evan, Tyler, Trystin, Alix, Mackenzie, and Nathan; great-grandchildren Owen, Oaklynn, and Sage; daughter-in-law Rosalee Gaudet; sister Madge (Harry) Morris, of Berwick; as well as friends and family in Shediac, Lynn Mountain, West Leicester, Nova Scotia, and Springhill.
Both his sister Marilyn Morris and his wife Donna (Godfrey) passed away before he did. Neither of them survived him. The A H Brown Funeral Home was in charge of the cremation, and they are also in charge of making the funeral arrangements. You can contact them at 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, 902 597 2361. Hillside Cemetery will be the location of the wake and burial services sometime in the spring.
The family of Eddie would like to extend their gratitude to everyone who works at High Crest Nursing Home, but particularly to the nurses.
