Duane Brown Obituary, Cause Of Death – Duane J. Brown was born in Springfield, Illinois on August 26, 1948 to parents Harold J. and Wilma Wight Brown. He wed Catherine “Cathy” Bumpus on September 6, 1969, at St. Agnes in Springfield. Death came for her in 2008, long after he had left this world. After finishing high school at Griffin, Duane enrolled at St. Louis University.
He earned his medical degree in podiatry from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. He and his wife Cathy named their podiatry clinic Brown Podiatric Medical Centre. Duane’s most recent podiatry practice was Prairie Podiatry. Dr. Duane’s patients and fellow doctors unanimously praised him. Duane put a lot of thought into his food and exercise routine because he cared deeply about his physical and mental health.
To top it all off, he loved spending his summers at Minnesota’s Moose Lake Resort, where he could play golf, go fishing, tend to his garden, and hang out with his friends, family, and grandchildren. His medical accomplishments are impressive enough, but he also built one of the first geodesic dome homes in the Midwest. The American Podiatric Medical Association, the Springfield Motor Boat Club, and the Island Bay Yacht Club were just a few of the organizations to which Duane belonged.
His untimely passing follows that of his parents and brothers, Greg and Alan Brown. Craig (wife Tanya) Brown of Salem, New Hampshire; Chris (wife Karen) Brown of Springfield; and Marc (wife Katie) Brown of DeWitt, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Quinn, Leah, Hannah, and Mason Brown, as well as John, Leo, and Hendrix Davsko; partner, Susan “Sue” Davsko of Springfield; Sue’s children, Adam (wife Kam) and Justin (wife Sarah); and Sue’s son John Davsko.
