Donald Posey Obituary, Death Cause – Donald Lee “Grumpy” Posey, who resided in Albany and was 81 years old at the time of his passing on March 9, 2023, passed away on that day. Although Mr. Posey was born in Winston Salem, North Carolina, his family moved to Albany, New York, in the year 1970. Mr. Posey has lived in Albany all of his life. As a representative of Fluor Corporation, he arrived in Albany while the Proctor and Gamble factory was being built. The facility was being constructed in Albany. They left in 1981 due to the nature of his profession and moved around to a number of different locations until returning to Albany in 2004.
It is planned that the funeral service for him will begin at twelve o’clock in the afternoon and take place at the Ministry Center of the Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church. Both Reverend Chuck Knight and Reverend Dallas Knight will act as the ceremony’s presiding ministers. Before the start of the funeral at eleven in the morning, the family will be present in the Ministry Center to welcome and farewell guests. The funeral will begin at eleven in the morning.
He was an active member of the Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church, which he frequented for his religious needs.
