Donald Johnstone Obituary, Cause Of Death – We would like to offer our most sincere condolences to the Johnstone family on the passing of Donald Keith Johnstone, who lived to the ripe old age of 90 years. Keith was the name that stuck with him from the time he was a young boy.
He enjoyed widespread renown across the globe. At Rockyview Hospital in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on March 11, 2023, Keith passed away in a serene and peaceful manner. His passing occurred on a Saturday. The only members of his family who are still alive today are his sons Benjamin Johnstone and Dan Vantari, as well as his grandson Cort Dawnne. As Keith had requested before he passed away, a memorial “wake” or celebration of his life will be held in his honor at some point in the foreseeable future.
He was a pioneer in the field of improvisational theater, a co-founder of The Loose Moose Theatre Company, the inventor of Theatresports, an influential playwright and director, and, most importantly, a cherished educator. His legacy lives on in the work of The Loose Moose Theatre Company, Theatresports, and The Inventor.
