David Buckley Obituary, Cause Of Death – On February 13, 2023, David Ignatius “Spike” Buckley passed away in Portland, Oregon, at his home. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing. He had spent a good portion of his life in Oregon. He was born on December 28, 1934 in Brighton,
Massachusetts to parents named Cornelius Buckley and Abina Buckley (née Barry), both of whom had originally come from Fermoy, Ireland. His parents had immigrated to the United States. Cornelius Buckley and Abina Buckley were his parents. He was their son. After his passing, Patricia Marie “Alex” Buckley, who was his wife of 65 years, is the only person who will remember him.
Spike and Alex were inseparable soulmates who were also each other’s closest friends throughout their entire lives. They were each other’s best friends and the loves of their lives. Also, he is survived by his children, David I. Buckley, Jr. (Yumei Wang), Erin Buckley, Laura Buckley (Kelly Lipp), and John Buckley (Karla, née Reed), in addition to his grandsons, Adrian Buckley and Christopher Buckley.
Before he passed away, each of his eight siblings and sisters as well as his granddaughter Nicole Whitley had already done so. Spike is also survived by over 600 members of his extended family. He was able to stay in contact with these relatives over the course of several decades because to the extensive genealogical research he undertook. Spike will be greatly missed by all of his relatives. Because of his research.
he was able to identify and forge long-lasting connections with a significant number of previously unidentified family members who had been living in Ireland all along. He considered the well-being of his family to be his first priority at all times. They loved him with all their hearts, just as he loved his family with all of his hearts, and they loved him with all of their hearts. They both had passionate loves for one another.
