Dave O’Dowd Obituary, Death – Dave O’Dowd’s passing came as a complete shock to all of us, and it is with utmost disbelief and the deepest possible grief that we share this news with you. David, who is also Rosemarie’s spouse, formerly served as chair of the committee. Rosemarie now holds that post.
After deciding that he couldn’t defeat our props team, David took the attitude of “If you can’t beat them, join them.” Because he was very careful to ensure that all of our props were of the appropriate era, having him around was such a blessing to us because he made sure that all of our props were of the suitable vintage.
Dave was in charge of supervising the entire process, from determining the dimensions of the paper that would be used for a letter to determining the color of a beverage. A version of Elvis Presley’s song “All Shook Up” was sung by him when he wasn’t working the props table.
If you listened closely, you might have caught him in the act. Although we are going to miss having him around, we would like to send our most sincere condolences to Rosemarie, Jennifer, and Ronan, as well as to anybody else who is mourning his absence. I pray that you, David, will finally find peace.
