Daniel Chicas Obituary, Cause Of Death – The deaths of Daniel Paz Chicas, 55, and his wife, Joselyn Paz, 35, were discovered on Buxton Loop on Thursday. On Friday, the Garland County Sheriff’s Office was able to identify the two individuals as being Daniel Paz Chicas and his wife. Both of the victims had been killed by gunfire when they were found.
On Thursday, the sheriff’s department investigated two cases that were considered to be murder-suicides: one occurred on Buxton Loop, and the other occurred 12 hours later on Long Island Road (see Page One for more information). Both of these incidents were believed to have occurred on the same day (see story on Page One). The use of firearms has resulted in the deaths of five persons in Garland County so far this week. Tuesday marked the beginning of the first day of the Hot Springs event.
According to a news release that was produced by GCSO public relations officer Deputy Courtney Kizer, the Garland County Communications Center got a call at 11:13 a.m. on Thursday about a man and a woman whose bodies were found inside 228 Buxton Loop. Both of them had been deceased for some time. On Thursday, there was only this one other occurrence that took place.
