Dan Farley Obituary, Death Cause – We are saddened to inform you that Dan Farley, the most recent person to hold the position of Executive Director for the ASBA, passed away this morning at the age of 73. His passing comes as a shock to all of us here at the ASBA. When we heard of his departure, it was a tragic loss for us. He had been fighting disease for a long time, and just recently received the news that he had an advanced stage of pancreatic cancer.
The Dan B. Farley Board Development Center, which is housed within the ASBA building and serves as the venue of our board meetings, was named and dedicated in his honor when he left the organization. This center was given the name upon his departure from the organization. At the Ruebel Funeral Home on the 11th of March, 2023, at eleven in the morning, there will be a memorial service held in honor of the deceased.
Despite this, he died away calmly, and there was no sign of any discomfort. His sister, Carol Farley Helms, who resides in Morristown, Tennessee, and his nephew, Jason Cutler, who resides in Coimbatore, India, are the only surviving members of his family that he has left behind. Both of his parents, W.A. “Sonny” and Modene Farley, had already passed away before he was even born. They were both named Farley.
A reception in memory of the departed person will take place immediately following the conclusion of the service. In the Little Rock neighborhood, the funeral home is located at 6313 W. Markham St., with the zip code of 72205. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Arkansas Foodbank, which is located at 4301 W. 65th Street, Little Rock, 72209, or to the Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families, which is located at 1400 W. Markham Street, Little Rock, 72201. Both of these organizations are working to improve the lives of children and families in the state of Arkansas. The city of Little Rock serves as home to both of these organizations’ headquarters. These two organizations are doing a valuable thing for the areas that they each serve.
