Carol Jean Holland Obituary, Cause Of Death – On March 2, 2023, Carol Jean Holland, who resided in Paducah, passed away. Carol’s birthday is December 15th, and she was born in Paducah, Kentucky. She started her education at Redland High School and continued it at Paducah Community College, where she earned an Associate of Arts degree. In addition to her time spent working as a pharmacy technician in Paducah,
she spent several years working as a bank accountant at Central Bank in Lexington, Kentucky. Being a homemaker and providing care for her family were her prime interests in life. She cherished her family deeply and devoted herself to making their lives as joyful as possible. The phrase “I love you more!” was her go-to answer whenever a member of the family said “I love you.” She possessed a gentle and modest demeanor.

She was skilled in the art of ceramics and produced a ceramic nativity set that is loved by everyone during the Christmas season. She was extremely fond of spending time with her family on vacation, and when her granddaughters turned 12, she took all of them on a trip of their choosing. In her senior years, she and her husband Gary had a lot of fun traveling all over the world.
2016, her family threw a party in honor of her and Gary’s golden wedding anniversary to celebrate their love for each other. Her parents, Verdie and Frances Culp, as well as her brother, Kenneth Culp, had passed away before she did. She is survived by her husband Gary Holland, her son Matt Holland, her daughter Laura (Michael) Smith, her granddaughters Taylor Smith, Olivia Smith, Haley Holland, and Madison Williams, and her grandsons Ethan Smith and Mason Williams. She is also survived by her brother Steven Culp, who is married to Carolyn, and her husband Gary Holland.
Funeral services will be held in the Paducah location of Milner & Orr Funeral Home on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Bob Martin officiating the ceremony. After the service, burial will take place at Mt. Kenton Cemetery. Viewing will be conducted at the Paducah location of Milner & Orr Funeral Home on Sunday, March 5, 2023, beginning at 5:00 p.m. and continuing until 8:00 p.m. All contributions should be sent to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105. This is the family’s wish.
