Butch Littrell Obituary, Cause Of Death – Jonas Paul “Butch” Littrell, who was 81 years old at the time of his untimely death, passed away on February 2, 2023. At the time of his passing, he was attended to by his loved ones on both sides. When Butch was a little boy, he went to the state of California with his family, which consisted of his parents, Arthur and Dorothy, as well as his three sisters, Charolotte, Ruthetta, and Janice. Butch was conceived in the state of Kansas.
Butch spent his boyhood on the family ranch in Woodland, California, which was located in the midst of the Great Depression. People began to refer to him as “the little butcher” at the time that the black market was active, and he also went by the name Butch. His father worked as a ranch butcher on the ranch that belonged to his family while the war was going on. Butch obtained his high school certificate from Woodland High School in 1960 after attending both Plainfield School and Woodland High School.
It was to be expected that horses, cattle, and roping would come easy to him as a result of having spent his childhood on a ranch and having a father who competed in rodeos. In the end, he was introduced to Connie Wandel through the sport of roping. Butch and Connie Wandel were married on February 14, 1975, and the pair continued to make their home on the ranch. In addition to being the place where Butch was raised, the ranch was also the place where Butch ultimately raised his daughter, Paige.
During this time period, Butch worked at the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital in Davis, which is located in the state of California. More than anything else, the VMTH functioned more like a second family than anything else. During the period that he worked there, he was a member of the staff working in the Large Animal Surgery Department.
For his entire tenure at the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH), Butch served on the Veterinary Emergency Response Team (VERT). While he was serving on the VERT, he was awarded a number of accolades in appreciation of the effort and devotion he displayed during times of crisis. These accolades were in acknowledgement of the fact that he had demonstrated both effort and commitment.
