Barbara Lukasewicz Obituary, Death – Barbara Lukasewicz, who resided in Factoryville and passed away at the age of 90 and in the comfort of her own home on March 8, 2023, passed away gently. She was born in Justus on January 1, 1933, and her parents, Ralph Clark, who had passed away, and Mary Davenport Clark, who had also passed away, also had passed away. She was their daughter.
She was a graduate of the Waverly High School class that had received their diploma not too long ago. She began her career by working for RCA, and then she went on to work at Little People Day Care School, where she was known as “Miss Barbara.” Over the course of her career, which spanned more than 20 years, she was able to provide loving care for hundreds of children. RCA was one of her former employers.
The climax of Barbara’s love for her family and friends was the hosting of massive Fourth of July celebrations at her home. These gatherings were always a highlight of Barbara’s year. She continued to fill her leisure time with activities such as softball, scrabble, and bingo well into her late 50s because she enjoyed doing so. Her tenure as a volunteer with the Factoryville Fire Women’s Auxiliary spanned many years and was marked by many accomplishments.
Her husband, Andrew B. Lukasewicz Sr. (Ben), who passed away in 1975, her daughter Mary “Chris” Gaultney, who passed away in 2007, and her son Andrew B. Lukasewicz Jr., who passed away in 2019; her brothers Ralph (Bud) Richard and William Clark; and her sisters Margie Bemis, Joyce Gilbride, and Jessie Trojanowicz; all preceded her in death. Her funeral was held on April 15.
