Anna Buhrmann Accident – To introduce myself, my name is Kenzie, and one of my dearest friends, Anna Buhrmann, is the beneficiary of my fundraising effort. Anna, a field hockey player with 19 years of experience, is currently enrolled at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut, where she competes in Division 1 of the sport.
Anna is originally from Germany. Anna and I went skiing at Copper Mountain on March 6th, thanks to my friend Aly and I. Our spring break was from school. Everyone was laughing and having a good time! Anna had a ski accident and ran into a tree when she was out on the slopes, which was quite unfortunate.
After being airlifted to Colorado by Flight for Life, she was immediately taken into surgery for an emergency procedure on her spine that lasted for seven hours. As a result of breaking vertebrae C6 and C7 in her cervical spine and severing her spinal chord, Anna suffered from permanent paralysis below her shoulders.
This condition was caused by the combination of the two injuries. Anna has shown that she is tough and has been able to keep a smile on her face throughout all of this, despite the fact that her family is still living in Germany. As we move forward, one of our primary objectives is to amass sufficient funds to make a contribution toward the cost of covering expenses such as Anna’s participation in the Flight for Life program, her surgery, her parents’ trip to the United States, her rehabilitation, and any other requirements that she will have.
Anna is in our thoughts and prayers, and we want to be there for her and her family in any way that we can offer support. We want to be there for her in any way that we can offer assistance. Anything can be put to good use. I am thankful to you because of your kindness and charity. Click HERE to Donate and Share
