Amy Saltz Obituary, Cause Of Death – Amy R. Saltz, who resided in Marblehead and was 62 years old at the time of her passing on February 26, 2023, passed away. Amy’s formative years were tainted by the tragedy of a failed attempt at suicide; as a consequence, she has devoted her life to the pursuit of recovery and to express thanks to those who have assisted her.
As a natural extension of her work in healing, she wrote and published several books that went on to win literary awards, including An Important Song, Discovering the Song: Living After Trying Suicide, and The Song Endures: Drumming With a New Rhythm. The author’s fourth book, titled The Song’s Resonance, has just been made available to the general public for reading.
Amy demonstrated a deep dedication to the satisfaction of her clients. In addition to that, she was a devoted volunteer at Temple Emanu-El, where she also held the position of librarian in the library. She volunteered her time for a variety of community organizations, including the Abbot Public Library, the Marblehead Counseling Center, Anchor to Windward, and Marblehead AIDS Awareness.
Students studying psychology at Mass General Brigham and psychiatry at Tufts Medical Center were the recipients of her lectures and presentations, respectively. In addition to that, she gave what is known as Schwartz Rounds, which are educational lectures, to medical experts who were employed at area hospitals.
Throughout the voluntary work that she conducted, she offered a spirit that was welcoming to all, one that encouraged others, and one that was joyful. These were the most significant items that she brought to the table. The spirit of Amy enjoyed playing games, had a strong connection to music;
Grooved on learning percussion, hands down adored teaching mah jongg, became engaged in calligraphy, valued all forms of theater and movies, and treasured the many magnificent bike trips she took. Amy was a wonderful person who will be greatly missed.
