Comfort, who resided in Tecumseh and was 86 years old when he passed away on March 5, 2023 He was born on June 13, 1936 in Raisin Township, Michigan, and his parents were Russell Albert Comfort and Nova Nada (Arnold) Comfort. He spent his boyhood in Michigan.
Al graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1954, the same year he was a part of the school’s graduating class.
He had done a good job serving his country in the Army of the United States. Al was a certified electrician who also had a legal license under his belt. He was able to retire from Dundee Cement Company, where he had worked as an electrician for the preceding 35 years before taking the option to leave the company.
He enjoyed spending time at the dance club, tinkering with his autos, and watching sports. He had a tremendous amount of affection for his family, and all of them will miss him terribly. Al is survived by his four daughters, Rebecca Comfort of Tecumseh, Vickie (Brian) Render of Tipton, Debbie Winzeler of Tecumseh, and Nancy (Atticus) Sumner of Tennessee; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Rebecca Comfort resides in Tecumseh.

Debbie Winzeler was born in Tecumseh. His two sisters, Norma Jean Campbell and Marian Irene Neff, as well as his brother, Paul Arnold Comfort, passed gone before him. He was the sole surviving member of his direct family. Both of his parents passed away before he was born.
